GOOD NEWS: No charge to participants!
There is encouraging news for all those who would like to be part of The Women’s Summit 2008. A fresh allocation of funds for the event now means that more scholarships can be awarded to those interested in attending.
Presently, more than 650 scholarships are available.
And many more are expected as major corporations pledge their support towards meeting our eventual target of 1,000 scholarships (this includes participants that have been supported by their employers to attend).
The Ministry of Women, Family & Community Development wants to ensure that individual participants should not be charged for attending. To achieve this the Secretariat has undertaken to raise sufficient corporate support to ensure that there are enough scholarships for all participants that would like to contribute to ths year’s event to attend.
To those that would like to participate, please file an online application, providing some information on your interest in the event in the comments box.
As only 1,000 participants can be accommodated, the Secretariat will process the applications to ensure that the entire spectrum of industries and organisations are adequately represented. All applications for scholarships must be received by August 8 2008 and we will inform all applicants if they have been successful by August 12.
Please submit your registration early to improve your chances of receiving a scholarship.
More scholarships will be offered if we receive further pledges from corporate supporters. Please monitor this site for further updates. If your organisation or company can afford to pay to send you please let us know. We intend to acknowledge the RM200 registration fee as a scholarship contribution.
All organisations will be credited for their support even if they make it possible for even one person to attend!
